Registration for the 6th grade in 2006/2007
Parents should send to the school (to the attention of Mr. Pierre Rouchon) preferably before June 22^nd 2006 (as of June 22^nd, the request should be directed to ‘service de coopération et d’action culturelle’ of the French embassy, Hebrangova 2, 100000 ZAGREB, to the attention of the attaché for educational cooperation, Mr. Alain Schneider): The school’s registration form dossier d'inscription à l'école (with the required legal documents) The request for registration with the CNED dossier de demande d'inscription au CNED (Product reference: P4161), which should include the following form accompanied with a passport picture of your child: Recommendation for admittance into the 6^th grade (if your child did not attend the French School in Zagreb during the school year 2005/2006), A French check for the amount of 118 euros to be paid to the CNED (this corresponds to the amount mentioned under A2, applicable in this situation) The authorisation for the registration should be added directly to the request by the embassy that will ensure the transmission of the files to the CNED.
SCHOOL HOURS APPLICABLE TO THE STUDENTS OF THE 6^th GRADE (collège) PROGRAMS APPLICABLE TO THE STUDENTS OF THE 6^th GRADE (collège) IMPORTANT REMARK: The class is organized without the possibility to choose a foreign language because of limited manpower. The choice made is "bi-language" German-English, (3 hours weekly for each) Croatian language and culture will be integrated in social studies and arts lessons, the same is valid for physical education (to the extent possible). SCHOOL HOURS APPLICABLE TO THE STUDENTS OF THE 6^th GRADE (collège) Obligatory Education Hours for students: 20 to 21 hours and 30 minutes (+4 hours physical education, 2 hours in the classroom doing personal work) The time allocated in a college in France for the 6^th grade is 28h /professor, an hour and a half can be given for half a class. Average weekly schedule French 5 hrs Foreign language 4 hrs (for one language) 2 x 3 hrs (two languages) History (1 hr 15 min.) – Geography (1 hr 15 min.) – Social Studies (30 min.) 3 hrs Mathematics 4 hrs Science and Technology 3 hrs: Science of life and earth (1hr 30 min.) Technology (1hr 30min.) Artistic subjects 2 hrs Arts & Crafts (1hr) Music (1hr) Physical Education 4hrs Help to students and assistance with their personal work: 2hrs split Hours for ‘life in the classroom’: 10hrs annually In addition to these obligatory hours, each student can participate in a variety of activities which will be proposed by the school.
